Carolyn was born in Jamaica and moved with her family to Toronto, Ontario at a very young age. As a young girl she was always inquisitive in nature, leading to a passion for literature and creative writing. While growing up she participated in track and field and soft ball. Athletics was instrumental in demonstrating her thirst for success and her ability to confront challenges head on.

Understanding the importance of learning both of the country’s official languages, Carolyn’s parents ensured that she became bilingual. This led to quite a varying career path, as Carolyn held varying roles in customer service, retail accounting and commercial liability.

Scholastically, Carolyn has achieved degrees in both Sociology and French Studies from York University. Realizing that she could combine her joy of writing with building successful professional relationships, she pursued further studies by completing a post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca College.
