In this world of consumerism, we often forget that everything that exists first began as raw material. It is not until something is carved, molded, or processed that it becomes a usable product. Without the raw material, that item would never have been created or sustained.
Blood cannot be manufactured in a laboratory. It takes people to donate that raw life force to help hospital patients in need. Every minute of everyday someone in Canada is in need of blood or blood components to survive. As we enter into the winter months, it is important to remember that hospital patients are in need of blood, during sunshine, rain, sleet or snow.
